Wood Granulator/Pellet Mill/Pelleting Presses--Flat Die

With the rapid development of the animal feed industry and utilization of biomass energy, small pellet machine has become increasingly popular. It not only can process feedstuff for animals—such as feed for fish, chickens, pigs, etc.—but can also convert waste biomass material into wood pellets. This pelleting press has a history of more than 10 years. Originally it mainly used to process pellets as feedstuff. But in recent years the machine has been modified, with the quality of machine’s main parts upgraded. Now the flat die pellet press such as pellet mill with electric motor, with diesel engine, gasoline and PTO can process waste biomass material such as sawdust and straw. The final wood pellets can be burned as green fuel in a pellet stove or boiler.

We have responded to customer feedback on our flat die pellet mill. Here are a few of their recommendations for making wood pellets with this machine:
1) Best moisture content is 15% for all materials.
2) The temperature during pelletization is around 90-95°C. The pellets must be allowed to cool when expelled from the pellet press before being handled.

Furthermore, the flat die pellet press has been improved to make it more suitable for producing wood pellets. These improvements include:
1) Special material used on the main parts such as the roller and die to prolong their serviceable life beyond that of similar products in China when processing wood pellets.

2) Modified the design to improve the performance of the machines and to make is easier to produce pellets.

3) We obtained the CE Certificate to meet EU client’s standards.

CE Series Pelleting Press:

The plane grinding feed pellet machine can process oil cake and other mixed waste material into pellets. The pellets made from our flat die presses are durable and have a lustrous surface. During production, the temperature can reach almost 70-80 degrees Celsius. The interior of the pellet is fully cooked to resist mold and degeneration. It can then be stored for longer time periods to improve the dainty and assimilative characteristics for raising poultry. Our pelleting presses also shorten feeding periods. In this way the pellet presses effectively recuperate initial costs.

The flat die pellet press was designed animal feed materials and biomass such as wood chips, straw, chaff, bamboo shavings, peanut shells, bagasse, alfalfa and other raw materials.

Performance Features:
1. Transmission gears made of high quality alloy steel. Their surface undergoes a carburization, quenching treatment and precision machining. It produces less noise, less heat, has a large carrying capacity and a longer service life.
2. Spindle manufactured to bear heavy thrusting and axial forces for a longer service life.
3. Pellet press uses a large diameter roller for greater yields—high rate of pelletization—and uniformly durable pellets.
4. Roller and flat die wear evenly; both sides of the flat die can be used for a longer service life.
5. All bearings are sealed to prevent the accumulation of dust for optimal effectiveness and an extended service life.
6. Pellets are from 6-12 mm in diameter, to be selected by the user.
